Gulamba is a traditional Indian Mango jam or jelly made during summer season. Gulamba is very easy to make and tastes delicious.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of raw mango grated
  • 1 ½ cup Jaggery
  • 2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions
  1. First thing you need to do is grate the raw mango.
  2. Now add 1 and ½ cup of Jaggeryto two cups of raw mango and cook it on a low flame in a pan.

  3. Make sure you stir consistently as it shouldn’t burn.
  4. Cook the gulamba till the color changes to golden brown.

  5. This is the signal that Jaggery has caramelized and make sure it becomes like jelly consistency.

  6. Now once all the water has evaporated add 2 teaspoon of cardamom powder to the mixture and mix well.
  7. Turn the flame off and let the mixture cool down.
  8. Now fill it in a dry clean glass container and keep it in refrigerator.
  9. Our Gulamba is ready.

Recipe Notes

You can enjoy it by applying on bread or chapatti. You can just enjoy it like any other dessert. Gulamba is indian traditional mango jam which is essentially made for seasons when you don’t get mango but still want to enjoy mango’s flavor.
